My son's LED project finally blinks like a real heartbeat thanks to this thing, and the steady on-off rhythm is weirdly satisfying to watch. Setting the speed is simple enough that he figured it out without me.

Plugged the pulse into my circuit and suddenly my LEDs were blinking in a perfect steady rhythm, no coding needed. The speed dial is a nice touch since I can slow it down to a heartbeat or crank it up for a strobe effect. My kid has been building blinking robots with it all afternoon.
