Honestly the OR bit is the one my kids reach for most, since it lets either of two triggers fire the same buzzer instead of wiring both paths separately. Two inputs, one output, and it just works every time we snap it in.

Plugged this into my son's littleBits setup and it finally got the logic right for his automatic door project. He's seven and grasped it in minutes since it's just two inputs and one output.
